Sometime soon, Ben Roethlisberger will meet his new offensive coordinator. That may happen as early as today.

When they do sit down face to face for the first time, it promises to be interesting to say the least.

It’s well documented that the Steelers’ star quarterback is disappointed with the change from Bruce Arians to Todd Haley.

Too bad.

Arians is gone. Haley is here. It’s time to move on.

As a ninth-year pro whose three Super Bowl appearances put him in the upper echelon of NFL QBs, Roethlisberger should be mature enough to handle the transition. If indeed he is the leader he claims to be, he should embrace Haley’s plan and go with it.

It’s well documented that Roethlisberger and Arians had a solid working relationship and a good friendship away from football. Roethlisberger may never become close friends with Haley, but it’s up to him to make sure there’s a positive connection on the job.

Haley, who was fired 13 games into his third season as head coach in Kansas City, comes to Pittsburgh with the reputation as a head-strong guy who’s not afraid to yell at players if need be.

None of the Steelers, not even Roethlisberger, should feel threatened by that.

Haley at the very least calls plays to his personnel's strengths. Top running game with the chiefs and a top passing team with the cards. That is one thing Arians would never do. God forbid he would ever make adjustments when needed.

You talking about a seven step drop for a QB with a high ankle sprain behind a porous O-line?

Arians was 12th best last season, not good enough.

If the QB can't make all the plays, should he be playing?

That's on Tomlin, and, maybe after what we're hearing, Rooney.

Did you know the Giants were actually OUTSCORED this year?

It was like 400-379 (this is off the top of my head, so...). The Pats and Giants had the two worst defenses to ever play in the Super Bowl. The Giants had the worst running game in the league.

SOOOOOOO.....having the number 1 defense and the number 12 offense may not be so bad.

If he is the best option you have to win, yes he should play! Sorry, Charlie Batch is a washed up QB who is just hanging on to a roster spot because we have no other option. Ben was our best option in that game, and therefore he should have played. Maybe Charlie would have proved me wrong, but I highly doubt.
