ALLEN, Texas -- Terrell Owens still believes he's an elite wide receiver and is surprised no NFL team wanted him on its 53-man roster for the 2011 season.
There was one team that did want Owens, the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League, who signed him to play wide receiver. He will also have a 50 percent ownership in the franchise. Owens can make as much as $500,000 with the Wranglers.
On Wednesday, in front of an estimated crowd of 700, former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Drew Pearson, the Wranglers general manger, introduced Owens to a loud ovation at the Allen Events Center.

I think Owens could still play well. But his talent no longer exceeds his antics.

I really don't see why he won't get another shot. Someone will be desperate enough, and unlike most divas, he was productive right up until the very end. If he does play, it's going to be a 1-year deal for not much money though.

I'm pretty sure he'll be back next year. He probably would've been back last season had he been healed.

I am sure someone will sign him, though it might take a starting receiver going down.
Hell, if he wasn't such a locker room cancer, a team might have signed him even with the ACL tear so they could watch his rehab at their facilities.
Unfortunately his history makes most teams think twice about signing him, because he can still be an impact player.

Seems like he was pretty quiet in Buffalo. Kinda sad that a guy with his talent couldn't get his mind right.

I think all the teams willing to take a chance on him have already signed him and already grew sick of his antics. if he wants to play in the NFL, he should have thought about that before treating everyone around him like dirt

He hasn't been to the Raiders or Jets yet.

Hey, I want to hook up with Faith Hill, but fate, her standards and Tim Mcgraw are all likely impenetrable barriers to that goal.
We don't always get what we want, TO.
I want to be invisible and fly, but reality is what it is.

Hey ALLD, if you ever figure that out that invisibility and flying thing hook me up. It is probably my only chance. :)

I'm hoping the Raiders will operate like a real NFL organization, now that Al has passed on. I don't think the outrageous signings, draft picks or paychecks are going to be part of the new regime.
