So, you have the first pick in the 2004 NFL draft. Knowing what you do now, which quarterback would you take?

Who has been the better quarterback from the 2004 draft?

Would it be Eli Manning? He went first overall that year. Would it be Ben Roethlisberger? He lasted until the 11th pick. Or would it even be Philip Rivers? He was taken fourth overall.

Depends. If it's for a fantasy football team, I'd pick Rivers. For anything else, it's a pickem between the other two.

Ben, and it's not close imo. Give him Eli's offensive line over the years and Ben would have 3 rings by now.

I think this is the only draft class(2004) to have two QB(Ben and Eli) to have won at least two super bowl.

Rivers puts up stats, but he doesn't will his team to wins.

Eli is a pretty damn clutch QB. He broke the NFL record for most touchdowns thrown in the fourth quarter this past season, and it's not like the Giants were running up the score against backups all year in the fourth quarter.

Big Ben, well most people here are biased towards him. I wouldn't take any other QB, Ben epitomizes Pittsburgh football. He has played in three Super Bowls and has won two of them.

I would really say that Eli and Ben are about neck-and-neck. I don't even want to get into stats, because stats don't tell everything. Put Eli behind Ben's line and he might not even make it through half a season. Put Ben behind Eli's line and he'll put up big numbers too.

True, but between Elway, Kelly and Marino, the class of '83 had TEN Super Bowl appearances. :jawdrop2:

The comish said they had to. Really I can't believe he has 2% of the vote, he must have a very large family.

That is even more impressive if you think about it and realize that all 3 of those guys were in the AFC, so only 1 of them could reach the SB each year.

In the 04 class 2 could reach the SB in a year.

Still Benny. He has been more consistent throughout his career. I will say that Phyllis Rivers is 3rd by a mile

At this point I would stick with Ben. I think the gap will widen over the next few years, especially if we get a decent O Line.
