INDIANAPOLIS -- Three decades after his Coke commercial won advertising's version of the Oscar, Joe Greene and his No. 75 Steelers jersey make a comeback in another Super Bowl spot on television.

The new commercial relies heavily on the old one, only the Coke bottle has been replaced by a container of Downy Unstopables laundry product. And Greene's sweaty jersey plays a different kind of role in this one.

"It's a remake of the Coke commercial," Greene said Friday at the Super Bowl media center, where he was promoting the new spot. "There's a lady playing the kid, Amy Sedaris; she gives me a bottle of the Downy Unstopables. She sees my dirty jersey draped over my shoulder and she offers her help."

The commercial will be shown Sunday on NBC's Super Bowl pregame show, between 5:30 and 6 p.m.

Probably the best Super Bowl commercial ever.

Don't care for it, personally. I didn't like the remake of it with Troy, either. The only thing that can reasonably be expected to happen when copying perfection (which the original was) is screwing it up.

The chick isn't even hot. He should have thrown his sweaty jock at her and made her sniff it.

Like someone in one of the comments said it does look like she is holding a fleshlight. Terrible remake.

Me, too.

Besides, it may get yet another generation googling "Mean Joe Green' to see who he was and what the commercial means.

It's all good.

wtf was that??

Troy's was one thing, but don't tell me they're doing things like this all the time now....

It's like Hollywood remaking the same movies all of the time, they can't come up with any new ideas so they remake a classic and fail at it.

They can't just let a good thing bask in its glory... They have to try to make more money off it and ruin it...

The ending was funny though.

I won't watch the video now. I guess I'll watch it during the game. They have run out of ideas like Vader said.

They should've left well enough alone
