Cowboys owner/coach/spokesman/G.M. Jerry Jones was asked Monday at the Senior Bowl about the success of the Super Bowl bound New York Giants.

In Jones’ estimation, the biggest difference between the Cowboys and the Giants is simple: Eli Manning. Ouch.

Calvin Watkins on ESPNDallas.com reports that Jones subsequently offered praise for Tony Romo, possibly in an effort to put the toothpaste back in the tube. But the point seems clear. Jones essentially said that the 31-year-old quarterback of his division rival has a big edge over his own 31-year-old quarterback.

How about non-meddling ownership that stays the hell out of the way and lets its football people do their jobs?

Jerry Jones, you should be ashamed yourself for single handedly driving the most liked team in America into the ground and trying to COMPLETELY shift blame to others.

Completely classless.

This is one man I would NEVER want in a fox hole with me.

the most liked team in America.

Well that's debatable!!! But other than that I got no problems.

Jerry Jones is a complete ass.

I can think of a few other differences:

An owner who doesn't have his fingerprints all over the team, who lets football people handle the football aspect of everything.

A better running game to support the quarterback.

A better offensive line to open holes for the running game & protect the quarterback.

A better defense so when the quarterback does screw up, the damage is normally limited to a field goal.

i think dallas run game was pretty good once demarco murray became the starting rb.. and then it went back to shit when he got hurt..
they need to avoid the names at pos, and go with the quality of play from players

First, Jerry Jones is an ass...but hes onto something. Eli is a way better QB than Romo and Dallas has some pretty talented people in place around Romo. My son is a Dallas fan (he was raised there, so as much as I hate it, at least he sticks to his hometown team) so I have watched every game this season. Romo sucks, period. With a more talented QB they have the potential to be a pretty potent offense.
