Warren Sapp's infamous shot across the Steelers' defensive bow -- old, slow and it's over -- might have been a bit premature when he said it after their opening 35-7 loss in Baltimore.

Now the Steelers' hierarchy will deliver that message. Look for them to drop the hammer before March 13 on as many as four players who opened the season as starters in that game against the Ravens, and maybe not stop there.

It's going to be an eventful off season. A year of transition.

I think they're going to do some restructuring of contracts.

Yes, they will restructure some contracts and some older players will be gone. I expect Farrior, Hampton, Smith, Hoke, Bmac to all be gone. Maybe even Foote too. With all that, we will still have at least half of our defense playing at the age of 30 or older. I do like some of our young talent though and we will need a lot of them to step up big next year.

There are going to be some people who we don't want to see go... :(

Hmmmmm...so we're going to rebuild our defense AND switch back to an early-90's obsolete run-first offense.

Oh boy....this is going to be interesting.

All 4 of our losses have come against run first teams (Ravens x2, Texans, 49ers) #waitWHAT

Not that it matters what we do, run or pass, to start creating an offense that's going to live up to its potential
