Clements has coached quite a few QB's to their peak.....coincidence?

Hopefully we won't do something stupid and make the defensive line coach the new OC. That experiment has already been tried.

Clements, Fichtner, Haley. Where is Jeff Jagodzinski these days??

My money would be on Clements, but I think Ben will talk Arians out of any fake retirement he is threatening.

Personally wouldn't mind Clements. He played in the CFL with Ottawa and he was a gamer. Liked him when he was with the Steelers in the early 00's.

Could be the shot in the arm for Ben to really take him to the next level.

Clements looks like a good candidate.

Tommy Maddox and Kordell Stewart would be my top two candidates! :alcoholic:

I would imagine Clements is out of the running with Philbin taking the HC job in Miami. :noidea:

I would hope so. I wouldn't be so high on that choice.

Why is that SD.

I wasn't particularly found of the offense Clements orchestrated in Buffalo. If I remember correctly, he had a promising start but production really dropped off after his first handful of games. Granted, everyone deserves second chances and who knows - he may be the best of the bunch. But for me, I would just rather see us go with someone currently on the staff - or - if we choose to go outside the organization, someone with a little better track record as a play caller. Just my preferences.

Giving this more thought, I don't think Tomlin will go with a "name" OC. Think he will promote from within or get a "no-name" OC.
