Its a nice read. He wants to come back next year, seems like he loved it with the Steelers. Maybe he can be had for a reasonable rate then!

You know Cotchery has to be thinking "Damn! I dodged a bullet!" every time he reads a Jets article in the paper.

He could replace Ward on the depth chart simply by holding onto the first pass thrown to him.

I hope he comes back. Good and very underrated lunch-pail kind of player.

He couldn't get out of New York fast enough.

Sorry, I'd rather have Cotchery than Ward. I'm looking forward, not back...

he def had a pretty decent yr coming in late and what not.. i think even if ward does come back and prob the 2/3 million he gives back.. they will resign cotchery to a decent contract

Going from the Jets to the Steelers. Short travel distance, huge leap in class.

I'm sure he likes it here and is grateful for the chance, but he'll probably jump at the first chance of a better opportunity somewhere else. At least get a slot role instead of being the #4 here.

if sanders can't stay healthy again next year, who's your number 3? ward? i would rather it be cotchery.

I'm under the assumption Sanders will be healthy, making Cotchery the #4. He won't hope to get the #3 spot because of injury if he has a chance to enter the season as the #3 somewhere else.

BLASPHEMY!!!

I'll stick by Ward any day, but I would be happy with both.

The perceived prospect for a Ring will play into his decision.

wow im shocked, i thought for sure he would rather be scoping out free agency for a place where he can get more catches.

same here. Thankfully there are still players out there that can see the bigger picture

He's a luxury though. If we have him back, awesome! Might even get to sign him late into his 30s. But if he leaves we won't suffer, other than losing some depth

Love to have Cotchery back with the luxury of a smart veteran Ward if needed. It would be hard to figure who dresses on Sunday though.
Another fine FA signing we saved from a life in Jets purgatory.

I would love if Cotchery came back, but I don't see it happening.

well cotchery tested the FA waters last yr, and there rly wasnt a lot of attention, i mean he came here knowing that we had wallace, brown, sanders who was hurt, and ward.. so his thinking had to be at best being a 4th string wr.. and he still signed, prob b/c he wasnt again getting any att... but we'll see.. a yr later he may get more looks since he looked good for us
