Peyton Manning’s agent, father shoot down retirement rumor

We’ve established that Rob Lowe( https://twitter.com/#!/RobLowe ) is buddies with Colts owner Jim Irsay. That doesn’t necessarily mean Lowe has the inside scoop about a possible Peyton Manning retirement.

Two of the men that are closest to Manning shot down the rumor that Lowe started.

“Noooo . . . he ain’t retiring,” Manning’s father Archie told ESPN’s Chris Mortensen. “I think he would’ve told me.”

I think Peyton should really consider retiring. A neck injury is no joke.

And if it turns out his neck isn't healed enough for him to even be able practice by the time his roster bonus comes around, it's likely he's going to be cut. If he can't pass a physical, he isn't going to be signed by anyone. He very well might end up retiring.
