At least he did step up when he was called upon: 17 carries for 121 yds. A 7.1 yd per carry avg. The best Steeler performer of the night. The whole entire Denver team only got 111 yds total tonight.

Sigh, all these people who want Redman because they're obsessed with big backs ever since Bettis left. The guy is on the practice squad for a reason. I'll trust that the coaches know what they're doing, thanks.

... wait, sorry. For a minute there I thought it was 2009.

I anticipate Mendenhall to continue to improve. A lot of backs peak kind of late in their careers, especially the extra young ones that apply for the NFL draft like Mendenhall did. Kid is only 24. With that said, Redman has still outplayed him on what few carries he gets. RB controversy next season possibly?

Redman is a good RB and he does not receive enough carries when Mendenhall starts

I wish they would use both running backs according to their strengths.

RB controversy next season possibly?Already is!

Clay has a boat load of untapped potential as well does Baron Batch! Can't wait until next season!

We definitely have a good pack of young RBs and WRs.

Imagine what he and Mendy can do once we get them a healthy Pouncey and at least one real guard

trade mendenhall and a 1st round pick to move up.

There's no guarantee Mendenhall will be back to his top form next year. Or ever, for that matter. ACL is a career-threatening injury, especially for a RB, and even if you do recover fully, it's not uncommon for you to have an "off" year.

Remember, this is a 9-month injury and training camp starts in July. I'd expect Redman to open the season as the starter, maybe Mendenhall to even be on the PUP list to begin. If Redman does well for the first 4-6 games, it's his job to lose.

I agree 100%. I don't want to see Mendenhall on the goalline, he is not a good short yardage back.

I've been on the Redzone bandwagon since training camp in '09. I'm all about having him start.

Don't think there will be many takers out there for an injured RB.

I'm excited for Redman...he aced his job interview and we are going need him next year. It will be interesting to see if Baron Batch can come back from his knee injury. I would not be shocked to see us take a back in the draft.

Redman is my favorite running back.

The guy is decisive, has a great heart, a great attitude and always fights like hell for those last two yards.

Mendy could be on a quick downslide like FWP.

Redman was the only guy who seemed to give a damn.

Would've been nice to use Mendenhall and Redman more. But nope.
