Just did the math, and Tomlin is 55-25 in the regular season in his first 5 years. Three of the past four seasons the Steelers have won 12 games. Pretty damn good huh? Anyone ever done better?

Wow, what a question. Do you know how much math and calculations that would take!
Are you wanting just first 5 years of a coaching career?

I wonder if fans thought Chamberlin was too predictable with his use of Jim Thorpe...

Since 1970, he only John Madden who has a better winning percentage than Tomlin.
And Ben is now 80-33.

Most were ok with him but the Bulldogs should have fired their offensive coordinator.

Even then, fans probably thought he passed too much.

It was a lot panic to Mike Tomlin when the Steelers had five losses in a row in 2009.
But the Steelers have a 25-8 record since.

Vince Lombardi was 50-15-1 in his first 5 seasons. I don't think anyone will ever beat that. And he took over a team that only won 1 game the season before his arrival. Hard to make an argument against him being the greatest coach ever.
Shula was pretty close at 50-17-3 though.
Oh and Cowher was 53-27 in his first 5 seasons.
