Per Ed Bouchette:
I confirmed that Rashard Mendenhall has a torn ACL in his right knee. The only good news: No other damage. Surgery in 1-2 weeks.

You could totally tell that's what it was. So when does Moore come back?

Looks like Anthony Madison is back to replace Allen...

We all know what Redman is capable of as a full time back, now is his time to shine, and Clay your stage just got bigger.

Standard is the Standard people. I for one Like Redman more since hes a downhill runner. I Hope Mendenhall has a full recovery.

Let's just say what everyone's thinking..

Mendenhall is an average runner. Our offense revolves around Ben.

Redman and Clay will do just fine.

Average? He's one of the best RBs in the league. Now, is he as good as Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson, Chris Johnson, Maurice Jones-Drew, Stephen Jackson, or Arian Foster, no, but he certainly is one of the best and is an important part of this offense. I hope he makes a full and fast recovery and will be ready by the beginning of next season.

We're all about to find out if Redman is as good as everyone thinks he is, or at least better than Mendy.

Not good. I really like Big Red and feel that he can do the job. We shall see...

Mendenhall was having a great second half of the year. Was running as hard as I've ever seen him.

^^^ This. He looked much better in the 2nd half of the season.

That's because he sat one game with an injury and Redman make a damn good case to take his job.

15 carries for 49 yards is a good case?

Mendenhall is an average runner. ANY Top 10 runner would be AVERAGE with our OL!

You can't tell me that guys like Matt Forte, Maurice Jones Drew, and Steven Jackson are good because they run behind an elite o-line. I'm not a Mendy hater by any means, I just don't think this offense is going to have a significant drop-off just because he is gone.
