Steelers MVP Antonio Brown grasped the significance of teammate Hines Ward's 1,000th career catch Sunday almost as easily as Ward latched onto quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's shovel pass.

"Hopefully, it gets him to the Hall of Fame," Brown said. "He's a big-timer. He deserves it."

Is there anyone out there willing to argue?.........

Ward better make it to the Hall of Fame! It would be robbery not to induct him.

He'll be in but will get shafted on the first year like Bettis did.

Hines Ward (http://www.facebook.com/officialhinesward):Just want to thank Steeler Nation for all the love and support on the quest for 1000. Want to also thank all the guys who threw me the ball: Mike Tomczak, Kordell Stewart, Pete Gonzalez, Kent Graham, Tommy Maddox, Charlie Batch, Byron Leftwich, Dennis Dixon, Jerome Bettis, Cedrick Wilson, Antwann Randle El, Emmanuel Sanders, and Big Ben. Thanks guys! Now let's go for another ring! HINES

There's class. Imagine being Dennis Dixon, sitting at home and having no idea what's going to happen to you next year. It seems like you'll never get a chance to really play in the NFL besides warming a bench, and yet, one of the greats thanks YOU for become one of the few, elite players to reach a milestone - even though you only knew him at the end of his career.

Exactly!! How could you not love a guy like Hines! Yeah I'm a guy, but I'll bawl like a big baby when he leaves. This is gonna be really hard!

Hines is a great guy, its going to be a sad day when he retires, but a great one when he goes into the Hall of Fame.

I think he deserves it, but I'm biased. Not first ballot, but he should get in...there will be a lot of haters out there that think otherwise though...

Ward will be there - no doubt in my mind.

If he goes in, it won't be for awhile.

The voters seem very fickle in accepting WRs. A guy like Chris Carter has been waiting for awhile.

And while it's tough to judge Ward because you have to look at it differently since he isn't a typical WR, I just don't think he was ever considered one of the elite guys in the league for any length of time. I'm not sure if he is even worthy of being in the Hall because to me, that's something you have to be.
