Wishing you a happy Independence Day at Reservation For Six headquarters. Today is a day to remember the great sacrifices of the men and woman of the armed forces of the United States of America that make this country free.
In the words of Mike Huckabee
In the 1700's, the extraordinary actions taken by honorable men made us a free
people - they fought and died to create the idea that is America. Because of
those sacrifices and countless others throughout the years, we know that each
and every day is ours to live as we see fit, in the greatest country the world
has ever known. As we celebrate the 4th of July, let us remember our selfless
service men and women, standing guard around the world to keep us free.
Today is also a day to remember the late Steve McNair who was shot and killed July 4th, 2009. McNair will always be a Titan and a great Representative of the National Football League.
Today also marks the fourth straight victory of Joey Chesnut in Coney Island's Hot Dog Eating contest. Chesnut downed 54 hot dogs in 10 minutes.
Independence Day also happens to be Raiders owner Al Davis' eighty-first birthday. Happy birthday Al!
