Ben Roethlisberger's ankle injury has been officially diagnosed as a grade one high ankle sprain.

It's the least severe degree of sprain, but is still likely to prevent Roethlisberger from turning in much, if any, practice time this week. That being said, it shouldn't prove to be too large of an impediment for a quarterback who's made a living playing through pain. Roethlisberger may milk the drama this week, but it would be an upset if he's not under center against the 49ers.

"oh my foot, oh it hurts so much"

28 of 35 with 290 yards and 3 TDs later..."yeah, I played hurt, but I did it for those guys out there, we are a band of brothers"

Drama Queen!

Some athletes do perform better under extreme physical duress.

I give Ben kudos for his gutsy perfomance.

Yeah, I'd say he did pretty good given the fact he moved like C-3PO behind center.

Hahaha this thread is making me laugh. But all jokes aside, Keisel said it best. "whenever we go on a super bowl run, Ben always gets one of those foot, ankle, and shoulder injuries". Hes right lol.

Doesn't surprise me they're saying this. I hope neither of them gets hurt against the 49ers.

Pouncey said he would play in the Bowl last year also. I believe they will both try to go but how long that lasts remains to be seen.

The "Barney Board" principal prohibits me from inserting the appropriate joke I'd LIKE to insert here...

False. It's the least severe degree of a HIGH ankle sprain. I've already sprained my ankles 6 times in high school, 2 were high ankle, and let me tell you what, theres a big difference. I can only imagine how much if sucks for a mobile pocket shifter like Big Ben.

He'll be behind center ! The toughest of the final 3....yea, if Ben is walking he'll be playing.
