An MRI taken Friday confirmed that Ben Roethlisberger sustained a high-ankle sprain in the Steelers' 14-3 win over the Browns.

The Steelers' quarterback is in a walking boot -- and in a considerable amount of pain -- after getting his left foot folded under his leg Thursday night.

Roethlisberger played the entire second half after suffering a ghastly looking injury, and that was telling to Dr. James Gladstone.

"It either means it's not that severe a sprain, or he's just a remarkably tough guy," (ding ding ding!) said Gladstone, the co-chief of sports medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.

The latter is not in question, not after Roethlisberger completed 8 of 12 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown in the second half and then was barely able to walk after the game................

I had a low ankle spain in March and it's still not 100% healed. I still wrap it with an ace bandage when I run and there's still a few foot positions on the pilates reformer that are feel tight and painful. (that reformer work was great rehab, BTW)

And I can tell you, it did not feel very good 10 days after I did it. I was able to do fast cardio walks and started shorts spurts of running about 3 weeks afterward. But I didn't have to scramble around a football field trying to avoid being planted by 300 pound lineman.

Ben will be on that field. He may even injure it worse before it's all said and done and we get beat in the playoffs. But that man will not let it be said that we missed our chance because he didn't play. Ain't happening.

If the Ravens win against the Colts and Chargers, I rest Roethlisberger for the game against the 49ers if I would be the Steelers.
