Who's gonna believe a word from a convicted felon? Vick is one gun charge away from a 15 year sentence...tick...tick...tick...

A person familiar with the team's thinking says the Eagles are strongly considering releasing quarterback Michael Vick.

The person says the team might cut Vick no matter what police conclude during their investigation of a shooting that followed his birthday celebration in Virginia Beach, Va., last week. The person spoke to The Associated Press early Saturday on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.

The Eagles issued a statement on Saturday saying "any report or speculation that suggests the Eagles are considering releasing Vick are not true. We will continue to gather information and monitor the situation and we will not have any further comment until that process is complete."

A couple of months ago the eagles were loaded at QB. McNabb, Kolb and Vick.

How quickly things can change in the NFL.

Looking on the bright side Kevin Kolb will have no pressure or expectations on him from the Eagle diehards

That would be incredibly dumb considering they just dumped McNabb and the fact that Vick has experience with being that starter. It's going to be a long season in Philly with how things are going right now for them. It won't stun me if they miss the playoffs this year simply because of an inexperienced QB. If they keep Vick, then they will have a better season. Sure you have guys like DeSean Jackson who can do a lot of damage, but what is he going to do without a QB to throw it to him?

Vick's experience doesnt matter they have already said Kolb is the starter. Kolb is a better qb than vick is right now sleeping on Kolb would be a mistake. Mike vick was brought in as a gimmick guy never to be the starter of that team, thats why they have been grooming Kolb all these years.
