View Full Version : Steelers lose 2 Pro Bowlers against Chiefs

The Steelers lost two Pro Bowlers in the first half Sunday night, including strong safety Troy Polamalu.
Polamalu sustained a head injury less than four minutes into the game, and he didn't return after making a tackle.
Polamalu, with his helmet on while his defensive teammates were on the field, appeared to lobby the coaches to go back into the game but to no avail.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Polamalu had "concussion-like symptoms."

"We just wanted to err on the side of caution; that's why we didn't let him return to the game," Tomlin said. "I don't know at this juncture if it was a concussion."

Maurkice Pouncey left the game in the second quarter to a stomach virus. This caused Doug Legursky to move from left guard to center and Chris Kemoeatu to play left guard..................
