the highest number of passing yards in steelers history!

Right now

1.Bradshaw:27 989
2.Roethlisberger:25 379

Also, missing only two sacks for Roethlisberger,to be the QB who has suffered the most sacks in steelers history!

1.Bradshaw:307 sacks
2.Roethlisberger:305 sacks

Missing from the equation is the most important statistic, 2 superbowl wins needed to tie Bradshaw for most by a QB in Steeler history

2 super bowl is great!..It is very hard to win four Super Bowl.

It has only 2 QB in nfl history who won four Super Bowl.

3 would be good though, right? :chuckle:

He will need a SB-MVP two. :wink02:

Yeah, but three more Super Bowl wins will give him the most for any QB starter in NFL history!

Otto Graham won 7 championships. Ben simply must get to 8 Super Bowls to pass him. 6 more to go. :bounce:

hopefully, i think ben plays for 6 or 7 more years at a high level. realistically, i want two more super bowl visits, at least one of them a win.

as a fan, i want a SB win every other year!! (need that down year in between to "stay hungry")

Other QBs who have more passing yards than Bradshaw:

Trent Green
Jake Plummer
Jon Kitna
Jim Everett
Steve DeBerg
Brad Johnson
Kerry Collins
Vinny Testaverde

Obviously Bradshaw was better than any of those guys, and there are also others on the list (not named) who are legitimately great QBs in their own right ... but the point is that yards come cheap these days. I think we all know it's no longer the greatest statistic for measuring a QB's success because there are so many empty yards. Having said that, Ben is on the right side of that equation because he's done impressive things to separate himself from the sloppy-seconds journeymen who just rack up a lot of yards on mediocre teams.

TD-INT ratio is a better barometer.

Would be ecstatic with 5 - 7 more years of high level play out of Ben but it may be difficult especially with his style of play.

Ben passes Bradshaw in completions and, way more importantly, most sacks... lol
