Commissioner Roger Goodell met with Steelers coach Mike Tomlin and the football staff on Thursday to review on-field issues that have been the focus of discussion recently, according to a source.

Those attending were Tomlin, Goodell, executive vice president of football operations Ray Anderson, vice president of officiating Carl Johnson, vice president of football operations Merton Hanks, competition committee member Jeff Fisher and deputy appeals officer Art Shell.

Now, now, I'm sure it will be a very productive meeting. :sarcasm:

How can Sanchaise get speared and not get flagged, but if a Steeler tackles somebody hard they receive a maximum fine?

Not shown in that picture is Tomlin hitting Goodell with the Rock Bottom after he tried to give him a reach-around. :heh:

If Goodell was a pompous, arrogant, conceited, vindictive and self absorbed ass hole then I would suggest tomlin not waste his time....of course he has given us no reason to think these things...:sarcasm:

Expect Goodell to give the orders that the Steelers are to get absolutely no breaks from the refs for the rest of the season seeing how Tomlin has basically questioned him now.

I wonder of Dan Rooney is regretting his backing of Goodell to replace Tags as commish.

You cannot win any argument with somebody who has authority over you and an opposing philosophy. Goodell doesn't care if he gets it right, he just wants to get somebody.

They probably got a lecture about how they are coaching all wrong and that 2 DFPOTY players (James and Troy) don't know how to tackle right and basically don't know what they are doing.

And, Mikey....get your checkbook out. You question der Kommish, you pay da price.

I'm sure that der Kommish will use his VAST practical football experience to explain the proper way to form tackle. :sarcasm:

Just a waste of time in my opinion, there's no point in even going.

Goodell is a sorry excuse for a commish. Time for the Rooneys to make right and start the movement to get him out.

That official should be FIRED for calling that roughing the passer penalty. That's beyond ridiculous!
