Yeah, I'm biding time until the game. Gotta do it one way or another.

We all hate watching Ben being sacked. Worse yet, that "Total sacks per game" number keeps being trumpeted. But last year I showed that sacks per game does not equate to losses or playoff teams. In fact, it's almost the opposite. I know, it's quite counter-intuitive, but let me show you the numbers.

Let's look at the cluster of teams.

Rank of most times the Qb has been sacked, per pass attempt. And then the conference ranking if the playoffs started today.

9th, San Francisco 2nd place NFC (2 NFL)
10th, Chicago. 7th place (one spot out of wildcard) NFC
11th, Steelers. 1st place AFC (3rd NFL)
12th, Jets 7th place (one spot out of wildcard) AFC
13th, Atlanta 6th place NFC
14th, Green Bay 1st Place NFC (1 NFL)
15th San Diego 4th place AFC
18th NY Giants 3rd NFC
19th Baltimore 6th AFC.
21st, Houston, 3rd AFC
22nd Dallas, 8th (just two spots out of wildcard)
24th, New Orleans, 4th NFC.
