With two minutes, 35 seconds remaining and still in possession of all three timeouts, the New England Patriots thought it was more important to immediately get the ball back for their high-powered offense rather than give Ben Roethlisberger another chance to pass for more yards or convert more third downs.
So, moments after his team had just scored a touchdown to cut the Steelers' lead to 23-17, Coach Bill Belichick ordered an onside kick that told one of his former players all he needed to know about the makeup of the Patriots' team.
And reminded him why he loves the Steelers and Baltimore Ravens.
