It's Game Time!

Well, almost. It sucks having to wait until 8:30 this evening, but if this game is like 95% of Ravens-Steelers match-ups, it should be well-worth the wait. Seismometers will be going off all over the area from the hitting in this contest.

I hope Baltimore comes on on top, but good luck to you guys anyway. AFCN football (hell, NFL football) at it's finest. No two teams do it better.

What you said. I hope there are no major injuries on either side and good officiating.

What YOU said! Injuries suck....and so does piss-poor officiating. Penalties are part of the game, but Jeezus, refs.... let 'em play!

Ratings for this should be stellar. Even though the Ravens are one of the least popular teams, people love a good rivalry when they see it...

They are about the middle of the pack. Which, truth be told, I wouldn't give a rat's ass if they were #32. I'd rather have a hard-core group of true fans instead of a host of bandwagon ones. But you are right- people do love a good rivalry, no matter who is playing. Not counting Browns-Bengals. :boom:

They've won a little lately so they've moved up in the World...plus they are probably the team that 4 out 5 felons prefer, so there's that.

In context here:
http://www.bizjournals.com/baltimore/news/2011/10/05/baltimore-ravens-jump-to-no-14-in-nfl.html

The team, off to a 3-1 start, ranks No. 14 out of 32 NFL teams on Harris Interactive's poll released Tuesday. That’s up from No. 19 in 2010, No. 26 in 2009 and No. 28 in 2008.

Harris compiled the results after surveying 2,462 adults online between Sept. 12-19.

Good Lord! A whole 2,462 people out of 307,000,000! Whatta sampling!

And to think we use horseshit like this to decide the Presidency! :p

Anyway, it doesn't really matter. The Cowboys are number 1, so that tells you the relative worth of this...my point was simply that people will tune in to watch tams they don't even like if they know it will be a good game.

Injuries do suck so I hope the Ravens man up and play football and not cut block. Cut blocking, (which still blows my mind that it is legal) is just poor sportsmanship. Gotta believe Hampton and Smith were injured because of this tactic in game 1. Other than that, GAME ON.

If you've every taken Stats you'd know that's likely more than enough. There's a formula for calculating how large a sample size you need to poll the US population and typically its only a couple thousand people.

Yeah I don't like the late games but, since it is ravens vs steelers should be must see tv. The real draw back I can't stand Al Michaels and, I really think Madden give him the steeler bias.
