Interesting Tomlin Stat

I have all the past seasons' games recorded in my office on the wall since Tomlin has been coach and noticed something Friday which almost proved that we would win Sunday regardless of opponent. Every year Tomlin has gone 5-2 after 7 games and every year he wins that 8th game to go 6-2.

2007: 5-2, next opponent Ravens: Win
2008: 5-2, next opponent Redskins: Win
2009: 5-2, next opponent Broncos: Win
2010: 5-2, next opponent Bengals: Win
2011: 5-2, next opponent Patriots: Win

I wish I would have posted this Friday, it would have made me seem really smart.

2007 Opponent: Browns, Win Season Result: Lost Div Playoffs to Jax
2008 Opponent: Colts, Loss Season Result: Won SB
2009 Opponent: Bengals, Loss Season Result: Missed Playoffs (this loss was first of 5 in a row)
2010 Opponent: Patriots, Loss Season Result: Lost SB
2011 Opponent: Ravens, ???

Not a good 9th game record, however if we lose next week we will either make it to the Super Bowl or miss the playoffs entirely.
