Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey was limited in practice Thursday because of an elbow injury, raising questions at a position where the Steelers are already short-handed. Pouncey, who has already battled ankle and knee injuries this season, was a full participant in practice Wednesday.

Doug Legursky, the Steelers' top backup at center, is already out for Sunday's game in Arizona with a dislocated toe. Trai Essex, who can play every position along the offensive line, is the No. 3 center.

Pouncey said after practice Thursday that he is OK, but the Steelers are only one injury away from having to use their third option at center.

"There would be a drop-off but not a drastic one," Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said when asked about Essex playing center. "He's had a ton of work at it, so he'd be solid."...............

Scary thought. And he doesn't "play" every position. He impersonates a turnstile at every position.
