View Full Version : It's still all about the Defense in Pittsburgh.

Seems that last week was too good to be true. Back to bubble screens, long-developing plays that go nowhere, leaving points on the field and sloppiness on Offense. The O-Line is doing their job, Ben is getting time, but the "Offensive Player of the Week" and our spectacular "skill players" are not.

Back to a typical Steelers Offense. Jump on a team early then do absolutely nothing for the rest of the game, putting it all on the Defense to save their bacon. Lots of Yardage, but mediocre scoring.

The Offense should be fined for breach of contract for failing to show up for the second half. PATHETIC! We won but no one should be happy!

A Tale of 2 Halves. Dynamite in the first quarter. Did not show up for the second. Did they send out imposters in the second half.

Terrible offensive display in the 2nd half. Ben was stone cold.

I'm not blaming the defense, but the quickest way to bolster a struggling offense is to give them the ball on a short field after forcing a turnover. Maybe it's just a luck thing and we're overdue?

The defense could be playing better too especially in the turnover department. 2 turnovers in 6 games is unacceptable. The Steelers are on pace to forcing 5 turnovers during the entire season, two short of the amount of turnovers Baltimore forced Week 1 against this team. Besides name a good offense the Steelers have done well against other than maybe the Titans

The Defense was the reason the Steelers won against Jacksonville and Indy. They have the top ranked D in the league and the top Pass D in the league. They could do a better job with turnovers, but guess what? The D hasn't been shitting the bed this season. Our "Elite QB" and our "Stacked Offense" is. The Steelers haven't allowed more than 20 offensive points on D since the Baltimore game. I say that is pretty good. Unorthodox from what we've seen? Yes, but they're playing a different brand of good Defense.

You're one of those people that deserve Tommy Maddox or Kordell Stewart. :heh:

Our " "elite qb". Shaking my head!
