In the recent history of their franchise, the Steelers have been dogged and done in by players who historically have always had big games against them: Carl Pickens. Eric Metcalf. Steve McNair. Tom Brady.
But, among active players, there might not be a bigger Steelers killer than Jaguars cornerback Rashean Mathis, who has made a career of feasting on their quarterbacks.
In the past five meetings, Mathis has six of his 30 career interceptions against the Steelers, three of which were returned for touchdowns.
"You talk about [Darrelle] Revis and all those guys, but the guy who scares me the most is Mathis because, year in, year out, he's always made huge plays against us in critical situations," said wide receiver Hines Ward. "He's a guy you don't want to mess up or play around with because he can change an outcome of the game."............
