This is exactly what I said in another thread. The officials did a damn poor job on that play. It was a false start and it should've been blown dead but they didn't do their jobs in letting the players know that it was a dead play. They're supposed to repeatedly blow their whistles and wave their arms over their heads to let the players know that the play is dead and none of them were doing that.

It was a shit call by the refs who did a piss poor job of blowing the play dead. There shouldn't have been a penalty and if there's a fine that's even more bullshit.

In addition to the refs not blowing the play dead properly, I don't even think the ball carrier was out of bounds when Clark hit him....

Or if he was, he was like 6 inches out of bounds, and still trying to stay in and go forward. You can't tell a guy not to make a hit in a case like that, and anyway, it's not like he tried to blow him up or take a cheap shot. Anyone with half a brain should have been able to comprehend that and make the right judgment call ... because after all, that's what personal fouls are, a judgment call.

You never know what the refs are going to call a personal foul? I thought Heath Miller was going to draw a flag down near the end zone on a play that looked similiar to what Pouncey got called for last week.

Ironically, James Harrison will most likely be fined for the play even though he was not in uniform. In all fairness, the Pats will receive an extra 2nd round compensatory pick.

Yeah...I mean, Keystone Kops time when they both turned around and both pointed the other way.

I'll tell you this, though...even though the refs both said it was the Steelers ball at one point, I KNEW we lost the ball.
