Maurkice Pouncey's wish didn't come true in April when his brother wasn't drafted by the Steelers. But he's still proud to be part of the most unique twin tandem in NFL history.
"Definitely a cool experience," said the Steelers' second-year center. "It's something we both worked hard for. It is a dream come true."
The Steelers took Maurkice Pouncey, who turned pro after his junior season at the University of Florida, with the 18th overall pick of the 2010 draft. The Miami Dolphins took Mike Pouncey, who's also a center, at No. 15 overall this year.
Over the years, only 12 sets of twins have played in the NFL. Of that group, the Pouncey brothers are the only ones to be drafted in the first round..................
