The Indianapolis Colts' faux fans should be ashamed. They turned a huge chunk of Lucas Oil Stadium over to the Pittsburgh Steelers and they missed an inspiring Colts performance.
The real Colts fans brought the noise anyway. And it was not in vain, unless you measure only by wins or losses.
This criticism is not aimed at those real fans who wore their Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark jerseys and filled most of the stadium Sunday night for the Colts' valiant 23-20 loss to the Steelers. They love their team, win or lose, and rightly so. They saw a team play with heart and verve Sunday, against all odds.

No, this rant is for those who usually sit in the seats where all the black-and-gold jersey people were Sunday. Some estimated those Steelers fans as approaching 10,000 of the 66,309 in attendance. I don't know if it was that high, but it was too high...........

My favorite part of watching away games is there's always enough Steelers fans in the seats to hear "Heeeeaaaaaatthhhh!!" in an away stadium over the TV!!

I enjoyed the one comment on that page that complained about the Steelers fans standing up and all that stuff during the game... Uhh, hello... It's called cheering on your team! Maybe you should try it sometime.

My family was at the game and said that it felt almost like a home game for the Steelers but that is just how Indy fans are they only are fans when the team is winning.

i checked the local craigslist in hoping of going, which didnt work out but all of last week it was flooded from season ticket holders selling their tickets at below face value. you would never see that in pittsburgh, especially prime time game!

Why did we need to use the silent snap count if this was the case?

Would you put it past the Colts to pipe crowd noise in again?

There's still 50,000+ screaming Colts fans inside of a dome. It's still loud.

You could easily notice everyone chanting HEATH when he caught that pass. It was nice...

I was at the Superdome in 2002 and I'd estimate there were 20,000 Steelers fans at that game.

I can't blame opposing fans. If the Steelers are coming to town, you know you can sell your tickets for a good price, which makes your season tickets effectively cheaper.
