If anyone has NFL rewind or any tape of the Bills Vs Patriots game. Go to the first Quarter around the 1 32 mark or so. Eric Wood the Bills Center, gets FLAGGED FOR CHOP BLOCKING. He was flagged for Chop blocking Wilfork while he was engaged by the Bills RG. So why the hell when Casey gets chopped blocked its "legal". Who the fuck makes the rules now ? So is it Legal or not legal?

It's only illegal if its against the Patriots.

(1:30) (Shotgun) 14-R.Fitzpatrick pass short left to 86-D.Nelson pushed ob at NE 21 for 4 yards (31-S.Brown). Caught along sideline at NE 21. PENALTY on BUF-70-E.Wood, Chop Block, 15 yards, enforced at NE 25 - No Play.

And of course not a f*cking thing is said about it. :mad2:

Its supposedly legal if say the C is engaged and the LG or RG take the engaged D player low...but illegal if say its the LT or RT. It has to be the OL player NEXT to you for it to be legal basically. As far as this particular play...I have no clue...I did dont watch most of the game...if it was under the legal way but still called maybe it was a human error and the ref thought it was the RT not RG who knows...I'm not worried about it though.

Depends on who was engaged on that play.

The Center was flagged for chop blocking a NT who was engaged by the Guard? Ummmmm....don't the C and G play lineman positions right next to each other?

In the interest of player safety, the NFL has reexamined the rule. It will be implemented at the referees discretion or when the Pats* are playing.

Yours truly,
Roger Goodell.

I think it should be illegal all around. Too easy to get rolled up on and end a career IMO.
